Foto Filmic is a photography blog with a series of shortlisted photographers, a film talk series, and a print shop. It is very simplistic to look at and easy to navigate. This is a photography blog that posts a film talk series every Thursday.
The artist I looked at is named Nate Mathews, and he is a Chicago based photographer, sculptor, artist, and educator that is teaching photography as an Assistant Professor of art at Northeastern Illinois University. He takes pictures of poorly designed architecture that people try to predicament of said architecture. He shoot with a 4x5 field camera because he thinks that he can perfect the images more than if he was using digital. I enjoyed his pieces very much mainly because it made one question what has happened or what is going to happen to these places.
